Elvis' Therapy Sessions

Yep, you read that right. Our little man Elvis got his back leg stuck in a hay net one day and got it wound so tightly around his leg that Charles had to cut it down with a knife as soon as he found him. We don't know how long the poor guy had been caught, but he was in some serious pain.

We gave him some pain meds and had the vet out several times to figure out what to do. He wasn't using his leg for several weeks and we kept him on stall rest. He HATED the fact that his sister got to go out and graze during the day and paced back and forth in his stall wearing down a nice path. The vet suggested we walk him up and down the driveway where he would be more inclined to use his leg on the concrete. After several months, he is almost back to 100%.

Happy Birthday and Baby Shower To Me!

The ladies of Farmbrook threw a beautiful shower for baby Owen and myself. The hosts, Patti Pease and Jane Hoehn, went OVER THE TOP! And the best part? It was on my birthday! The weather was wonderful, the company was fabulous and it we a tremendous day.

The Bantams Are Growing!

For my birthday, Charles built the bantam chickens an outdoor run. They are too small to stay with the standard chickens so they needed their own space. It turned out great!

Blueberry Picking!

Charles and I visited our neighbors to pick some delicious blueberries. Despite the rainy drizzle, we got a lot of berries. They are so ripe and delicious. We now even have a freezer full for some future recipes.

A Baby Shower with Best Friends

On Sunday, Shelby and I were so lucky to be showered with gifts for our upcoming arrivals. Our friends, Kristen Oddi, Kristin Hornsby and Emily Dziedzic. The shower was at my parent's house in Farmbrook and we had an amazing turnout. There were a few more ladies there expecting-it's going to be a big year for babies!
